I am very excited to announce the first quadrennial International Independent Interstitial Festival (i^3 festival for short), and I am so glad there is a forum like this to do it in. We are now accepting genre-bending, borderless submissions of video interstitials as well as any other incarnation of interstitial art.
It will take place on Feb. 29th (yes, leapyear) of 2008. For more information about the festival and submissions, go to
www.i-cubedhypermedia.com/festival.html
I would really like to get a discussion started about this event. Also on the page is the beginning of an ongoing interstitial manifesto (a video manifesto that is forever in progress), and i would love to get your feedback. This is an issue that is much bigger than you or I; the dialog is what's important. Thanks!
